- Gerald H. Evans, Of Counsel with the law firm of Bamberger, Foreman, Oswald and Hahn, LLP, has been reappointed to the Family and Social Services Administration’s Division of Mental Health and Addiction Advisory Council. The Advisory Council is a statutorily created entity to advise the Division of Mental Health and Addiction. It is composed of ten individuals who have a recognized knowledge of or interest in the programs administered by the division. The agency is responsive to the challenges which confront consumers of mental health and addiction services and their family members.
Mr. Evans concentrates his practice on estate planning and probate, healthcare law, and business law. His commitment to the community is evident by serving numerous organizations including, but not limited to, being a Director and Past President of the Southwestern Indiana Mental Health Center, Inc., Treasurer and Director of the Mulberry Center, Inc., Chairman of the Board of Hillcrest Washington Youth Home, Past President of the Indiana Council of Community Mental Health Centers, and a former Director of the Southwestern Indiana Regional Council on Aging.

- Robert M. Becker, R. Thomas Bodkin, Terry G. Farmer and John P. Broadhead have been awarded the distinction of Indiana Super Lawyers in 2008 by Law and Politics Media.
More than 13,000 attorneys in the State of Indiana were asked to vote for the best lawyers they had personally observed in action – whether as opposing counsel, as co-counsel or from first-person observation in the courtroom. Votes received from lawyers in other firms were given significantly more points than those received from lawyers in the same firm. The final list of Super Lawyers represents less than five percent of the lawyers licensed to practice in Indiana.
Mr. Becker is a partner with BFOH and his practice areas include estate planning, trust and estate administration, business law, real estate law and general corporate legal representation.
Mr. Bodkin is a partner with BFOH and a defense trial attorney with concentrated experience in the defense of claims for medical malpractice, condemnation, commercial, product liability, civil rights and employment law claims, municipal law issues, construction, contract and utility law.
Mr. Farmer is the managing partner with BFOH and his practice areas include creditor’s rights, bankruptcy and workouts, commercial transactions, loan documentation, commercial loan and deposit account policies and procedures, and lender liability defense.
Mr. Broadhead is a partner with BFOH and practices primarily in the areas of estate planning and administration, elder law matters, agriculture, and counseling of family-owned businesses. John is Certified as an Elder Law Attorney by the National Elder Law Foundation.
- Kelly A. Lonnberg, Catherine A. Nestrick, Laura A. Scott and Kay L. Pechin were recently recognized for donating 50 hours or more during 2007 representing homeless and low income people. Only 25 attorneys in Southwestern Indiana were recognized at this level. The firm has previously received awards for its efforts in providing pro bono legal services to those in need.
- The law firm of Bamberger, Foreman, Oswald and Hahn, LLP is pleased to announce the addition of Partner, Bruce A. Smith. Mr. Smith obtained a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Indiana State University and earned his law degree from the Indiana University School of Law in Indianapolis. Bruce was born in Terre Haute, Indiana and now resides in Evansville, Indiana. Bruce focuses his practice on banking law, primarily in the areas of creditors’ rights, bankruptcy and general litigation. He is a board certified specialist in Business Bankruptcy Law by the American Board of Certification.
