Compensation and Benefits

Starting salaries for associates will be disclosed at the time an offer is made. It is our practice to pay a highly competitive wage in relation to other law firms in the Tri-State area. The firm has also implemented an annual bonus program which rewards associates for excellent performance.

Associates are free to begin employment with the firm at any time after completion of the bar exam. Successful completion of the Indiana bar examination is a requirement for continued employment. The firm pays for moving, relocation, and bar review expenses up to $2,500.00. We attempt to be as flexible as possible in accommodating the specific transitional needs of our new associates.

The firm provides benefits including life and disability insurance, full medical coverage [subject to a co-pay] through Welborn Health Plans, cafeteria plan benefits, and paid parking. Our vacation policy operates on an accrual basis and offers associates two to three weeks of vacation per year, depending on length of employment. The firm also provides a 401(K) retirement plan.

We pay for professional association dues such as those for the Indiana, American and Evansville Bar Associations, along with dues for up to 3 sections therein. Other professional affiliations may be paid, subject to firm approval. We also pay for required continuing legal education and such other legal education as the firm deems to be in the best interests of associates and the firm.

In order to encourage participation in community affairs, the firm offers each associate an annual allowance to be used toward dues and expenses in civic organizations.
